Who is QualityLamps?
QualityLamps comes forth from a family held company that has been operating in the international trade since 1982. In 2005 we discovered the projector lamp market. It seemed that demand was always less than supply which of course resulted in (too) high priced products. Using our experience we set-up a reliable network of suppliers and now, almost 3 years later, we've become a reliable source for projector lamps for many companies, resellers, government agencies, schools and of course consumers worldwide.

Which payment methods does QualityLamps accept?
QualityLamps accepts the following payment methods. You can choose your desired method during the checkout process:
- Credit Card,
- PayPal,
- IDeal (only for Dutch customers),
- Bank Transfer (payment upfront, which is free for customers in Europe),
- Cash on Delivery (payment to the courier, only available in The Netherlands),
- On Account (payment within 30 days, only available for selected resellers)

What does generic mean exactly?
Generic means that the product has no brand. No Sony, Philips, Osram, etc. logo has been printed on the product. However, this doesn't mean that our generic products are bad quality. A projector lamp is a specialized product and there are only a few companies that produce these lamps. Besides Sharp and Philips there are no other projector brands that product their own lamps. Lamp production is outsourced to one of the specialized producers.
Our generic bulbs and lamps are sourced directly from a reliable producer and are of high quality. We can say this because this producer also manufactures lamps for brands such as Acer and BenQ (which are then consider "original" bulbs so in fact, there is no difference quality wise between generic and original, except for the print on the bulb).
We offer a 90 day warranty period on our generic products, the same warranty as on the original products.

Which courier do you use for your shipments?
When it comes to handling your order we make a clear choice for reliable couriers.
- UPS (www.ups.com) is used for all our shipments in the Benelux and Germany. UPS is quick, efficient and reliable.
- Skynet (www.skynet.net) is used for all other countries. Skynet is a relatively small company but is known for its outstanding service.

Why do you, often, offer 4 different lamp options for a projector?
In some cases, especially for older projector models, lamps are not produced anymore. In other cases we offer bare (generic or original) bulbs or generic lamps because they are simply a cheaper solution compared to the original product. An explanation of the difference between the 4 options we offer:
- Original module
An original module (or projector lamp as you wish) is the same lamp as is included with your projector when you bought it. In most cases we can deliver this original module but it's not uncommon that these products have a shortage and thus a long delivery time. Also, original modules are often very expensive.
- Generic module
Generic means that the lamp was not manufactured by the original manufacturer of your projector lamp. This doesn't mean however that this means that the lamp is of lesser quality. Our generic lamps are manufactured by a reliable producer and are of high quality. We can say this because this producer also manufactures lamps for brands such as Acer and BenQ (which are then consider "original" bulbs so in fact, there is no difference quality wise between generic and original, except for the print on the bulb). Our generic products come with a 90 day unconditional warranty.
- Original bulb only
Original bulbs are manufactured by companies such as Philips, Osram, Ushio, Iwasaki, Phoenix, Sharp. Your original projector lamp will most likely contain a bulb from one of these manufacturers. Replacing a bare bulb is not difficult but does require some skill. You can take out your current projector lamp and see for yourself if it will be difficult to replace the bulb. An original projector bulb is of course cheaper than the original module (see option 1) since you will re-use the plastic housing of your old lamp.
- Bulb only (generic)
A generic bulb has no brand printed on it and is considered a non-original lamp. But, our generic bulbs are used in projector brands such as Acer and BenQ because of their high quality. So, in fact, our generic bulbs, quality wise, are on the same level as original bulbs. Replacing a bare bulb is not difficult but does require some skill. You can take out your current projector lamp and see for yourself if it will be difficult to replace the bulb. A bulb only option is of course the cheapest solution since you're not paying for a brand and you will re-use the plastic housing of your old lamp.

Product life
All projector lamps should have the same lifespan but are not guaranteed, regardless if the lamp is an original product or generic. All lamps should last as long as is stated in your projector manual, which may vary per projector.
Installation service
If you want to save on the costs of replacing a projector lamp our bulb only options (original and generic) are an attractive alternative. Which products does QualityLamps offer?
QualityLamps is 100% specialized in replacement lamps for projectors. We offer, if possible, a maximum of 4 different lamp types for your projector (see here). By offering multiple options we can offer the following benefits:
- Availability, it's not uncommon that original projector lamps have shortages. We can in those cases offer other options, both generic and original.
- Price, original modules are expensive. Our generic options offer very attractive alternatives because of their prices.
- Environment, should you choose for a bulb only option you will re-use your current plastic lamp housing.
My parcel hasn't arrived yet, what can I do?
When we ship your lamp you will be notified by e-mail. In this e-mail we will mention the tracking number with which you can track your parcel. You can use the track and trace button on our website to access the track and trace page.
When ordering please keep in mind the following:
- Orders placed after 14:00 (Dutch time (GMT+1:00)) will not be processed until the next day;
- Credit Card payments have to be authorized first. This can take up to 1 working day;
- Products have to be in stock before we can ship them. Stock levels are mentioned on our website;
- Shipments occur on working days (Monday to Friday), excluding Holidays.
Which items does QualityLamps have in stock?
We have to most common and popular items in stock, this includes the bulbs and the modules. On our website you can see which items are in stock and if they're not in stock you can see the average delivery time. If a product is not in stock we can, thanks to our wide network of projector lamp suppliers, still make sure you will receive your projector lamp quickly.
I cannot find the lamp I need, what can I do?
We try to keep our database as up-to-date as possible but if your projector model is not mentioned feel free to use our search service or if that doesn't help, contact us. Please tell us the model of your projector and if applicable the specifications of the bulb. We will then let you know what we can offer you.
Do I have to register before I can order?
NO, we've tried to make the order process as easy as possible. If you don't want an account do don't have to create one. You only have to provide us with the details we need in order to ship your lamp.
Why should I create an account?
If you create an account with us you can benefit from the following features:
- Look up order history and old invoices,
- Check your RMA status online;
- Track the status of your order;
And of course, if you have an account your details will be saved so that you don't have to enter them again the next time you place an order.
How quick to your process orders?
Depending on the lamp type, the ordered quantity and your payment method we can ship the lamp to you right away. Orders are processed 5 days a week, from Monday to Friday. When we ship your order you will receive a confirmation via e-mail with the tracking number.
Can I still cancel my order after I have placed it?
Yes you can, within 24 hours after you placed the order. However, this is only possible if we haven't shipped your lamp already. When a product is in stock we try to ship it the same day. If you want to cancel you order afterwards this is still possible but administration charges may apply. These are 20% of the total invoice amount.
I want to return the lamp I purchased, is that possible?
If you have replaced the lamp in your projector and it appears that your lamp is not broken but the projector itself you can return the lamp to us. But, we do charge administration charges. These are 20% of the total invoice amount. Also, we require that the lamp has not been used, is in its original packing and is in as new condition. When we receive back the lamp and the lamp meets our requirements we will refund you the invoice amount, minus the 20% administration charges.
The lamp I bought is broken, what can I do?
We give a 90 day warranty period on all lamps we sell. If your lamp stops working within this period please contact us and we will solve the issue as soon as possible.

How do I create an account?
We recommend that you create an account when you visit our website regularly and want your details to be remembered. An account is needed when you get discounts since the discount will be attached to your account. You can create an account here. Be sure to fill in all fields that are marked with a red (*).
How do I change my personal details?
You can change your personal details by logging in to our website and in the "MyAccount" window on the right on your screen click on "Modify profile". On this page you can change your details and save them.
Can I pickup my lamp at your office?
If you're really in a hurry with your replacement lamp you can collect it at our office/warehouse. But please contact us first so we can check the stock and make sure someone is there to help you. We don't operate a normal shop.

What is your environmental policy?
Projector lamps contain a small amount of mercury which is hazardous to the environment. Used lamps should not be thrown away with your everyday trash but should instead be recycled by a qualified manufacturer. To save the environment we ask you to return your used lamps to us so we can recycle them properly. Please print out this form and fill it in and return your lamp to us (UNDER CONSTRUCTION).
What does QualityLamps do with my details?
We will use your details exclusively to send you your ordered products and invoices and to communicate with you about your order and/or account.
